An Exemplary 401 (k) Savings Plan

Western Summit's 401(k) is in the top 2% of company contributions offered in the United States and is unparalleled in the industry.

The company contributes up to 10% of your salary by:
  • Matching your weekly contribution dollar for dollar, up to the first 6% of your weekly salary
  • Making an annual contribution of 4%

All non-manual employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following one calendar month of service. You may choose from a diverse set of 12 funds plus a self-directed brokerage to invest your savings portfolio. All contributions are made on a pre-tax basis.

Active Employee Ownership

Wesern Summit is owned by active employees through participation in the Peter Kiewit Sons', Inc. Employee Ownership Plan (the Plan). Employee ownership is a key factor in our long-term success. Approximately 75 percent of our salaried employees who have been with WSCI or Kiewit five years or longer own interests in the Plan.

  • Participants are selected based on demonstrated commitment to the company’s expectations. 
  • Participants’ goals are closely aligned with the company’s; they think and act like owners. 
  • Typically, a participant has 3-5 years of WSCI or Kiewit experience and demonstrates the potential to assume additional responsibilities.
