Casey Williams -Civil Superintendent
Central Plant Grit Basins 7 & 8 Project - Las Vegas, Nevada

26 year-old rising star Casey Williams graduated from Colorado State University in 2004 and began his career at Western Summit as a field engineer that June. Casey’s early construction experience started in high school and college where he worked as a laborer, carpenter’s helper, and as a project/field engineer.

When he came to WSCI, he hit the ground running in El Paso, Texas at the Upper Valley Water Treatment Plant, a $28M green-field project. Casey was fortunate enough to start from the beginning of the project through final completion affording him beneficial experience. Casey said, “At that point, Upper Valley was by far the largest and most complex project in my career and it gave me the valuable hands-on knowledge and confidence for heavy industrial construction.”

Western Summit certainly noticed Casey’s ambition and leadership. He was promoted to Chief Field Engineer and sent to Mountain House, California, where WSCI won the Design-Build contract to build a $48M Water Treatment Plant. This project is located 50 miles east of Oakland.

Again, Casey was promoted – this time to Civil Superintendent for a project in Las Vegas Nevada, where we are completing a $15M grit basin renovation at the Central Treatment Plant, for Clark County Water Reclamation District – the largest facility that services the city of Las Vegas.

Casey approaches every new project as an opportunity for success. He believes that even through strife and difficult circumstances, if you work as a team, you will be able to overcome anything and succeed. We asked West Coast Division Manager, Kevin Kurz, what made Casey WSCI material. He said, “He eats, breathes, and sleeps our Core Values.  He is like a sponge, soaking up anything involved in the project. He has an instinct ability to organize, communicate, and work with all people. He is smart, aggressive, and genuine.”

We also asked Casey’s current Supervisor, Mose Marcrum, about Casey. He said, “Casey has real determination and he refuses to give anything less than his very best every day. He expects the same from his colleagues and that is what WSCI is all about.”

Casey said, “WSCI holds itself to a higher standard in everything we do. In safety, we are far above the industry and always striving for better. We have cornered a market and have become known for our hard work to produce quality facilities. We are focused on bettering ourselves, and the work we put in place.” As a company, we are proud of Casey’s accomplishments and look forward to providing him a bright future for his career.
