Overview
WSCI provides semester-long co-op/internship programs for college students. Hired as Field Engineers, Estimators, Project Engineers, or Safety Managers, student interns are trained and encouraged to perform many of the same duties as salaried employees. Every student also participates in mid-term and final reviews with a mentor. This enables interns to develop “real world” skills, while getting a taste of what it’s like to work for Western Summit.

The WSCI Mentor Program
This personalized program assigns a mentor to guide each student in creating individually scheduled goals and objectives, with reviews and follow-ups. In addition, mentor and student participate in mid-term and final reviews, during which students are encouraged to openly communicate about which skills they have developed and those that they’ve not yet had direct exposure to, but would like to learn on the job. We believe that this continues to assist in the evolution of our internship program.
