Western Summit Constructors, Inc. was named Top Website in the State of Colorado for professional service firms, including engineering, architecture and construction companies. In a solid contest, we clearly defeated some of our known competitors in the water and construction industry. Special congratulations to WSCI Marketing Manager Josh Roberts for managing the process of improving and re-designing our new interactive site.
Every year since 1982, the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Colorado Chapter has honored and recognized dedicated colleagues and successful firms in the professional services industry with the "Marketing Excellence Awards." The Marketing Excellence Awards foster marketing awareness in the professional services community and inspire to achieve marketing excellence and competition.
Judging criteria for the website award included five specific areas: marketing objectives, creativity, quality, content and results. Comments from one of the judges, Lisa Hillmer-Poole with The Envision Group – a leading advertising and branding agency makes note, "The success of a website is no longer measured by the amount of time a visitor spends on it, but by the likelihood of their return. With such dynamic features as recent project updates, employee profiles, and current news stories, WesternSummit.com provides ample reasons for their audience to come back in the future."
One objective of our new website included revamping the overall design and saving money on site maintenance. Our annual website budget for the next three years will be cut by more than 70% by integrating a new content management system to manage site changes in-house. The second objective was a re-design to kick-off our new corporate branding. Our primary audience is potential new recruits and an interactive site is incredibly important in the hiring process.
