Miramar Water Treatment Plant, Contract A
San Diego, California
In order to meet the water demands of the City of San Diego and surrounding areas, Western Summit Constructors, Inc. (WSCI) is constructing an upgrade and expansion to the existing Miramar Water Treatment Plant. The expansion will increase the plant's capacity from 140 million gallons per day (mgd) to 215 mgd, upon completion of all contracts.

Espanola Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Espanola River Valley has a big vision. According to Mike Raybourn, Project Manager, “Their vision includes putting infrastructure in place now to attract industry and help posture themselves for growth.” Some of this vision for infrastructure includes treatment plant work.

Los Alamos Wastewater Treatment Plant
Situated in an especially beautiful site within the unique features of the Pueblo Canyon, Western Summit Constructors is constructing a new wastewater treatment plant. This new advanced wastewater treatment facility is scheduled to be completed in fall of 2007 and will improve the quality of discharge to further benefit the environment

Intrenchment Creek CSO
Working with the City of Atlanta has become a staple for Western Summit over the past 10 years. Currently under construction, is a $28.6 million contract to improve existing facilities at the City’s Intrenchment Creek CSO structure.

Longley Lane Water Treatment Facility
In response to growing water demand and more stringent water quality standards, Washoe County Department of Water Resources in Reno, Nevada prepared a plan to upgrade their Hidden Valley Water System. Their objectives included providing safe drinking water to customers, delivering water at the least possible cost and providing water treatment capabilities necessary to treat ground water and achieve new maximum contaminant level (MCL) requirements for arsenic.

Loveland Wastewater Treatment Plant
Johnny Tuxthorn, the City of Loveland’s Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager, has been working in operations at this facility for nearly 30 years. He’s seen a lot of improvements and upgrades over the years. He says of Western Summit’s current project, “I am pleased so far because you have met all of my expectations. You did your homework and your people make the biggest difference. I’ve been impressed.”

Mountain House WTP
Western Summit, in conjunction with Carollo Engineers, is designing and building a 15 million gallon per day (mgd) expansion to an existing water treatment plant that will service the City of Mountain House, CA, just east of Tracy, along with a vast subdivision currently being built in the immediate area by Shea Homes. .

Gross Reservoir Hydroelectric Project
Western Summit currently holds a $10.6 million contract to construct a new powerhouse facility and install two owner-furnished hydroelectric turbines at the existing Gross Reservoir Facility. Construction also includes installing a 4-inch service water line inside the existing dam, as well as large diameter buried penstock piping that will be tied into the existing vaults to the new powerhouse.
